Oracle AI Developer

Location: Austin, TX
Work Schedule: Standard 40-hour week, must work CST hours
Compensation: $59.25 - $81.16/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking an Oracle AI Developer to design, build, and maintain a secure internal application that supports authentication, access control, configuration, and operational workflows for Gatekeeper use cases. This role will focus on developing a reliable, maintainable, and user-friendly application that integrates with MCP, Cloudflare Access, OAuth-based authentication, and internal and external APIs.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with strong React and JavaScript/TypeScript experience who understands secure application development, API integrations, authentication, and the operational requirements of production applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the Gatekeeper application using modern frontend development practices.

• Build intuitive user interfaces and interactive workflows for setup, configuration, validation, and status reporting.

• Integrate the application with MCP tools, Cloudflare Access, OAuth-based authentication, and related APIs.

• Develop and maintain secure integrations with internal and external systems using REST APIs and JSON-based services.

• Implement appropriate authentication, authorization, input validation, error handling, logging, and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Manage environment variables, application configuration, and secrets using secure and maintainable practices.

• Apply security principles such as least privilege, secure data handling, and appropriate access controls throughout the application.

• Troubleshoot application issues and support production reliability and operational readiness.

• Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements, refine workflows, and improve the overall user experience.

• Ensure application development aligns with security, reliability, maintainability, and Cloudflare OS standards.

• Create and maintain technical documentation covering application behavior, setup, configuration, integrations, and operational considerations.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong experience developing applications with React.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

• Experience building and maintaining web applications, internal tools, or enterprise applications.

• Hands-on experience integrating with REST APIs and JSON-based services.

• Understanding of OAuth, authentication, and authorization concepts.

• Experience working with application configuration, environment variables, and secure secrets management.

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, with an understanding of logging and production support practices.

• Working knowledge of application security best practices, including least privilege, input validation, and secure API integration.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing internal enterprise applications or workflow-based tools.

• Familiarity with Cloudflare products, Cloudflare Access, or Zero Trust concepts.

• Experience working with MCP or similar tool-orchestration frameworks.

• Experience designing administrative, setup, configuration, or operational interfaces.

• Experience supporting applications in a production or operational environment.

• Experience balancing rapid development with long-term maintainability, security, and supportability.
